Overview

Behaviour is Everywhere: All the Behaviours You Didn’t Know About in Clinical Trials

The event program will explore the vast and often overlooked roles of behaviour in research - from the participants to the providers to the processes. This full-day conference will feature a keynote by Dr. Kim Lavoie, interactive roundtable discussions, a behavioural experts panel, and a student pre-conference workshop on careers beyond academia, with breakfast, lunch, dinner, as well as refreshments provided throughout the day.

  • Healthcare behaviours: Medication adherence, symptom reporting, anticipating side effects

  • Behaviours in trial methods: Diverse recruitment, high-fidelity delivery, patient retention

  • AI won’t replace your job, someone who knows how to use AI will

  • Digital behaviours: App logging, completing surveys, digital engagement

  • Provider behaviours and communication: Rapport, communication style
